 Providing clients with a grammatical, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document.
 Conducting research through Internet and E-Mail throughout the translation process. Completing the task within the defined timelines.
 Providing quotations for translation services provided to clients. Consulting with experts in specialist areas.
 Retaining and developing specialist knowledge on diverse areas of translation. Networking and making contacts for securing repeat & referral business for the organisation.

Editorial Functions
 Planning and designing the writing style; using appropriate headlines/ captions and illustrations for enhancing the general presentation of the articles.
 Taking adequate measures to ensure quality product is prepared within the time deadlines; making modifications as necessary.
 Reading and assessing the final copy of a publication and producing updated editions of publications.
 Downloading agency news stories from the wires, sourcing news reports from staff reporters, planning and visualising the pages for a given day’s edition.
 Interacting with staff reporters, staff photographers & design artists for deciding the layout of the pages.
 Working knowledge of the software used for publishing daily newspaper.

Reporting / Journalism
 Ascertaining and collating news regarding affairs / leisure / events.
 Interviewing people/personalities for getting the accurate update of events and recording vital information through a recording device.
 Gathering and preparing useful information for local and nationwide audiences to inform society on current events and actions of public, corporate, and special interest figures.
 Interviewing individuals and editing the material for presentation; sending information via electronic transmission to news writers who write about the material.
 Covering news stories in regional stationed areas with involvement in all phases of gathering and presenting news, from taking photographs to laying out pages and editing final transcriptions.

Content Writing
 Organizing material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
 Studying drawings, specifications and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, production sequence and detail.
 Designing the layout and structure of the documents layouts by screening and selecting appropriate stories and news items.


 Worked for Hindi Daily Naya India. Joined in September 2011, selected editorial staff (after written test, campus interview etc) trained them for two months to bring out the edition independently.
 Provided content (original in Hindi and Translation) to the daily for six months.

 Done freelance reporting on regional issues of Jharkhand for national and local dailies and magazines including The Telegraph, Kolkata.
